What We Cover

  • Budgeting can feel painful and discouraging, a chore that you never want to do (and maybe you never have). I believe that there is no "one size fits all" approach to this, and will work with you to create a system that is easy for you to follow. Cash flow planning is foundational to your financial success, so it's important to ensure you have this covered.

  • Fear and greed have no place in investing. I adhere to a highly diversified, low cost investment strategy to create a plan personalized to your situation, values, and risk tolerance. The focus is on being disciplined, systematic, and only adjusting as goals change.

I offer professional in-house investment management, but I will work with you even if you would like to stay with your current custodian.

  • What should you do with your restricted stock units (RSUs), incentive stock options (ISOs), or non-qualified stock options (NQSOs)? Should you participate in your Employee Stock Purchase Plan? We’ll review your unique situation to come up with an optimal strategy.

  • That recruiter keeps calling and stalking you on LinkedIn.

    • Should I take that higher paying consulting job, but with lower benefits?

    • Should I try to negotiate my current salary?

    • Does it make sense to relocate?

These are all questions that we in IT face, and they could have significant impact on your finances.

  • Getting the most from your earnings means paying attention to your taxes. IRAs, HSAs, charity, tax loss harvesting all affect your tax bill. We can go through a review to ensure that you are optimizing as much as possible.

  • First things first. What would you like your retirement to look like? Not all of us want to work until 65, then just sit on the beach and golf. Once we establish that, then I can help answer those important questions:

    • How much should I save?

    • What would it look like if I retired at 55? or 40!?

    • Roth vs. Traditional IRA?

    • What should I select in my 401k?

    • Will my plan withstand a market crash?

  • I have two children that are currently 15 and 12. Thinking about them going to college makes me cry a little. Then looking at the projected cost of college when they get there brings on a different kind of tears.

I can assist in selecting an optimal 529 plan for your situation, advise on investment selection, and project how much you will be able to cover (you can even pick your specific school). Do your children attend a private primary school? We can plan for that too.

  • Insurance isn't exciting and it's not an investment, nor should it be. It's something we all need to have but hope to never use. I can help get you and your family the types and levels of coverage that best fit your situation.

    • Life
